Unfinished Labs’ first project — the introduction of the open source Decentralized Social Networking Protocol — became the foundation of Project Liberty, an initiative that seeks to accelerate the world’s transition to an open, inclusive data economy. Frank McCourt formally announced Project Liberty in Paris in June 2021. The launch of Project Liberty included the announcement of the McCourt Institute, an independent establishment dedicated to researching technology that serves the common good. The two foundational partners of the institute are Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and Sciences Po in Paris. McCourt tapped Jacques-Henri Eyraud, the French entrepreneur, academic, and former head of Olympique de Marseille, to lead the institute. McCourt founded Unfinished, and Unfinished Labs, its research and development arm, in 2020.
McCourt Equipment made a significant investment in our spare parts department because we recognize the importance of providing spare parts and components as soon as possible to satisfy our customers' needs. Our headquarters in La Grange, Texas, currently features a 16,000-square-foot warehouse. We are extending our storage capacity dedicated to our large inventory to meet increased demand.

From belt vulcanizing to custom part welding and equipment transportation, our goal is to keep our customers operating at the highest production level.
McCourt was born into a Boston real estate family empire, launched his own real estate company in the ‘70s, and made a string of deals that allowed him to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003. McCourt’s time with the storied baseball franchise wasn’t exactly a success. Although he bought the team for $430 million and sold it about 9 years later for $2 billion, he was accused of financial mismanagement, and the Dodgers were forced to file for bankruptcy under his ownership in 2011 while running low on cash. The firm McCourt runs today, McCourt Global, is an evolved version of his first company, which now spearheads investments and projects across sports, media, finance and technology. He will officially hand over the CEO role to Shéhérazade Semsar-de Boisséson in January and remain executive chair of the company. McCourt has already committed $150 million to the project, which aims to build a new layer of the internet that gives users control and ownership of their personal data.

Next, McCourt created Project Liberty to work on the specific connection between technology and democracy. Larkin, formerly with the World Economic Forum, works out of London and its executive director works out of Paris, giving the project a strong European and globalist flavor. We are committed to building a clearinghouse of information for entrepreneurs, social innovators, and civil society leaders. In addition to supporting research, the Institute will play a convening role for interdisciplinary experts focused on advancing technology for the common good. A unique curriculum at the intersection of data science and quantitative public policy analysis, the MS-DSPP equips graduates with cutting-edge computational, analytical, and governance skills. The MPP provides a set of core skills in economics, quantitative methods, management, and politics, allowing our students to evaluate and respond to today’s most pressing policy challenges.
The downstairs of the museum housed the Dr. Frank McCourt Creative Writing centre. Bill education benefits, McCourt talked his way into New York University by claiming he was intelligent and read a great deal; they admitted him on one year's probation provided he maintained a B average. He graduated in 1957 from New York University with a bachelor's degree in English. He taught at six New York schools, including McKee Vocational and Technical High School in Staten Island, New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, Seward Park High School, Washington Irving High School, and the High School of Fashion Industries, all in Manhattan. In 1967, he earned a master's degree at Brooklyn College, and in the late 1960s he spent 18 months at Trinity College Dublin, failing to earn his PhD before returning to New York City.

McCourt students have a number of global opportunities, both curricular and extracurricular. McCourt is a leading provider of innovative labeling and packaging solutions. The Frank McCourt Museum officially opened by Malachy McCourt in July 2011 at Leamy House, Hartstonge Street, Limerick. This Tudor-style building was formerly known as the Leamy School, the former school of Frank and his brother Malachy. The museum showcased the 1930s classroom of Leamy School and contained a collection of memorabilia, including items such as school books of the period and old photos, all donated by former pupils of the school. As well as having a large selection of Angela's Ashes memorabilia, the museum had recreated the McCourt home as described in the book using period pieces and props from the Angela's Ashes motion picture.

Shortly after purchasing the team, McCourt fired then General Manager Dan Evans, replacing him with Paul DePodesta. DePodesta is featured in the book Moneyball as it discussed their sabermetric-based approach to using statistics to build the Oakland A's. At the time, DePodesta said of Choi, "I think we've acquired one of the better offensive players in the league." McCourt students are impatient changemakers who don’t want to wait until they graduate to have a positive impact. Many put their classroom learning to work through co-curricular and extracurricular programming– global residencies, spring break immersions, and policy labs– which provide valuable hands-on experience. “What I mean by that is that technology is just a tool, like a hammer.
Social media has actually been the hammer that's killing people, not the hammer building homes." McCourt believes that the dominance of a few Golathian social media platforms will give way to “a thousand Davids” that better cater to smaller communities with more specific interests and needs. This has already begun, with apps like BeReal and Mastodon gaining huge interest in the past half-year. Many also argued that social media has also created internal conflict in the U.S. For instance, roughly 64 percent of Americans say the platforms do more to divide than unite them, according to a 2021 NBC poll. McCourt argues that democracy cannot function without the social trust.
Pursuing more ethical and inclusive ways to build technology is a collective effort. As the next generation of the web approaches, we see exciting opportunities to embed ethics and governance principles into new technology while accelerating problem solving and encouraging innovation. Today, the consequences of developing tech without putting people first are clear.

In 1951, McCourt was drafted into the Korean War and sent to Bavaria for two years initially training dogs, then working as a clerk. Upon discharge, he returned to New York City, where he held a series of jobs on docks, in warehouses, and in banks.
On October 14, 2009, it was announced the McCourts would be separating after nearly 30 years of marriage. He has claimed that the divorce has "no bearing on the team whatsoever." The Dodgers assets acquired by McCourt included significant real estate assets related to the stadium in Chavez Ravine, including stadium parking lot land. Plans were announced for new real estate developments at Dodger Stadium however those plans never came to fruition. One discussed plan was for an NFL stadium and adjacent retail complex.
